Top 5 Vegetarian Restaurants in Bangkok

Top 5 Vegetarian Restaurants in Bangkok

How We Picked

Range of dishes

When choosing vegetarian restaurants, we made sure they offered a wide range of options for both starters and main courses.

Food quality/flavor

Though the restaurant only offers vegetarian dishes, the flavor of the food should still be there. We evaluated restaurants that serve tasty vegetarian dishes.

Health concept

Obviously, a vegetarian restaurant will be a huge waste of money if its food doesn’t offer any health benefits. So, we sought vegetarian restaurants that serve dishes with healthy, nutritional ingredients.

Client satisfaction

Through surveys and interviews, we assessed how satisfied previous customers were with the vegetarian restaurants.

Pros

  • Ambiance and design are great
  • Has friendly and welcoming staff
  • Offers delicious and fresh dishes

Cons

  • Food comes in small portions
  • Long serving time

The food at Govinda Vegetarian Vegan Restaurant is surely nutritious and delectable as it is one of Asia’s Top 10 Vegetarian & Jain Food Restaurants.

It combines fresh ingredients with genuine Italian cuisine to create a world-class dining experience that you will never forget. This brings out the flavors in each dish.

During the weekdays, the restaurant provides a menu for people who are a fan of gluten-free edibles.

The design of the restaurant is great. The decoration is all Italian, from the interior walls, and floors, up to the ceiling.

There is also a designated wall for customers to take pictures, should they want to post their dining experience on social media.

When it comes to the accessibility of the restaurant, it stands in the perfect place. A great number of people can easily go here if they wanted to.

The staff is nice and hospitable. They handled us and other customers with great care.

They welcomed us warmly and assisted us from the very beginning of our stay until the end.

When it comes to the pricing, it is reasonable given the quality of the meal, the place, and the service.

However, because of the rather delayed serving time, this restaurant is not advisable if you have a tight schedule.

Another drawback that we noticed is that the servings of the dishes are quite small.

Pros

  • Offers healthy and fresh plant-based food
  • Food sizings are accurate
  • Offers nice ambiance

Cons

  • Packaging uses too much plastic
  • The place is too cold

Vistro was created to satisfy vegans, plant-based explorers, and foodies alike, with comfort food classics, guilt-free indulgences, and gourmet delights.

It has been named ‘Thailand’s best plant-based restaurant’.

Therefore, as expected, the restaurant serves food that is healthy and avoids the use of preservatives as much as possible to maintain the freshness of its dishes.

The restaurant offers a variety of dishes on its menu, hence, there will be more options for vegetarians as well as those who want to give this diet a try.

From drinks to the main course to snacks and to desserts, the restaurant has it all!

When it comes to food sizings, don’t worry! It is the same as what is advertised.

On the other hand, the atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely and the decorations have a theme. It looks classy because the designs and ornaments aren’t too crowded.

However, we have observed that Vistro’s packaging contains an excessive amount of plastic.

We believe that since the resto prepares its food using ingredients from the environment, it should address this problem immediately and opt for environmentally-friendly packaging.

The low temperature of the establishment’s air conditioners made us uncomfortable and chilly. So if you are someone who easily gets cold, we advise going somewhere else.

Pros

  • Offers customizable food based on the ingredients you want
  • Staff is very welcoming
  • Offers diverse food from Western to Eastern cuisines
  • Clean and safe restaurant

Cons

  • Expensive rates

May Veggie Home serves meals that taste like they are prepared in the coziness of your own home. It offers a selection of food from which you can choose, which are all renowned for being 100% vegan.

Customers can also customize their food. Let’s take the salad, for example.

You can choose whatever garnish and ingredients you want to put in as long as they are available.

The restaurant also has great interior designs and the surroundings were tidy. Providing a clean eating area for each guest is almost as essential as serving the appropriate food.

When it comes to the restaurant’s menu, there are a great number of options. With that being said, you won’t have to worry if you want something new every time you visit.

It also offers diverse food from Western to Eastern cuisine. So, if you’re quite picky about choosing your vegan food, you won’t have a hard time at May Veggie Home.

The food here is quite expensive. It is not budget-friendly, so if you’re looking for something cheap, this is not the place for you.

Overall, we had a great experience because the staff was so kind. They welcomed us warmly and served the food right on time.

Pros

  • Accessible location
  • Offers catering services
  • Open for franchising
  • Service quality is great

Cons

  • Sizing of food is small compared to what is advertised
  • Has limited menu
  • Expensive rates for food

The Sarava Bhavan restaurant is the largest South Indian food chain in the world. It offers a variety of food, including traditional and original Indian dishes.

Dishes prepared with traditional recipes are crafted from original recipes that the restaurant makes while adding its own unique spin.

It serves 100% vegan uthappams and special dosas that are quite popular in India.

It also covers catering such as birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, tea parties, corporate meetings, and many more.

Sarava Bhavan is also open for franchising. So, if you want to open a business, just fill up the application form and wait for its response.

Furthermore, its service is also known to be top-notch for it has made great relationships with its customers. The staff is accommodating, going above and beyond what you would expect in a restaurant.

One downfall that other customers complain about this restaurant is the pricing of its dishes. We also believe that the menu rates are quite expensive.

Additionally, the sizing of the food did not meet our expectations. The portions were pretty small compared to what is advertised.

Also, the restaurant only serves a limited menu. But, if you want to try special vegetarian Indian dishes, we recommend going to Saravana Bhavan.

The restaurant provides customers with healthier food choices, which is what we’re looking for.

It provides a comprehensive variety of delectable foods throughout the region and beyond.
