They are famous today for making custom jewellery and selling gemstones wholesale.

TNG is not a typical jewellery retail store where you would just walk in one day and walk out with something on hand. It’s a professional service that takes a personalised approach every time.

Mr. Tarun Gupta, the company founder’s grandson, and current Managing Director, is a GIA Graduate Gemologist. TNG’s clients laud his conscientiousness in ensuring that the clients know the technical details of their jewellery, apart from the aesthetics.

Being a very established business, it’s not surprising that it has an extensive network of gem suppliers. This makes it possible for TNG to source certified precious stones for prices much lower than the market average. 

We admire a business that doesn’t take advantage of its customers despite getting raw materials at lower prices — up to 40% cheaper. TNG works with what its clients want for fair prices as well. 

TNG accepts international orders and ships orders locally and internationally with insurance covered.

However, it does not accept personal checks as payment. Its preferred mode of payment is direct money transfer, among other methods.

Venus Jewelry Thailand is a jeweller that’s been in business since 1966. The 2nd generation of the Palalikit family currently manages it.

The store takes pride in being famous in the Thai foreign community. It has been lucky to be located along the same road as the Embassy of the United States in Bangkok.

Lin Oriental is owned by a GIA-certified gemologist and specialises in sterling silver jewellery and accessories. It offers a complete set of services from simple personalisation (engraving) of accessories to full-blown jewellery making.

Shopping in this store is an enjoyable experience. You could even catch the owner, who will guide you in choosing the best type of jewellery suiting your taste and needs.

Communication isn’t a problem even if you’re a foreigner because the staff speaks fluent English. It’s also very convenient to go to because it’s open on Saturdays and can also open on Sundays if requested. 

Its catalogue is 100% made in Thailand and is reasonably priced considering the jewellery’s high quality. 

The only downside that we can think of is that Lon Oriental’s standard catalogue has a limited number of gold items. However, this might not be a real problem given the store’s custom jewellery services.

Ananta Jewelry is a jeweller located in Pathumwan, Bangkok. It’s been in the industry for over 30 years.

Ananta (meaning “eternity” in Sanskrit) specialises in bridal jewellery and gift items. Its customers generally love its services.

Customers can go to any of its four stores in Bangkok or order online. The store provides free shipping for local orders and delivers internationally to 11 countries. 

We like these convenience features, ensuring that getting the items you need will never be a hassle with this provider. 

Customers can also avail of free wrapping and cards if the jewellery they bought is for a gift. We haven’t seen this in other jewellery stores, so it’s definitely a point for Ananta in our book. 

However, we’re pretty disappointed that the shop doesn’t allow customers to order 100% custom jewellery. 

It only offers customisation services where customers can customise existing Ananta designs, like asking for engraving or choosing what type or size of stone to set on their ring. 

If you have specific preferences, this shop can’t help you. We recommend you try out other entries instead. 

Payment methods for Ananta products are also limited. You can only pay using your credit card or a wire transfer.

Nevertheless, we recommend Ananta because of its modern yet classic jewellery designs.

Glitz Jewelry Thai Co. Ltd. is a younger jewellery store in Bangkok that specialises in diamond bridal jewellery. It’s been in business since 2001.

This store is a pioneer in the online selling of jewellery in Thailand and ships orders locally and internationally. It was ahead of its time by establishing an online store — understanding customers’ needs while looking at technology’s future. 

We like a couple of things about Glitz Jewelry Co.’s services.

The first is that the store offers a lifetime warranty on rings. That is on top of its complimentary ring resizing services. 

Next, Glitz Jewelry offers promotions and discounts. You can get promo codes from its social media accounts, which you can apply during checkout on its website.

Lastly. The store offers several payment methods for the ease of consumers. These include bank wire, cryptocurrency, PayPal, credit card, and flexible financing.

The staff is accommodating and kind. International customers we’ve talked to did not have problems communicating with the sales team because they also speak excellent English.
