Here’s another local dessert cafe worth your time if you want to taste some of the best desserts in Thailand – Cher Cheeva Thai Dessert Cafe. This cafe is well known to locals because of its delicious treats and its aesthetic approach to food.

If you order their tea set, you get a pot of hot tea and a number of different desserts for you to try out. They have obviously mastered their mango sticky rice here and their rice cakes with coconut cream so these are something you should include in your order.

Parking can be a challenge if you visit  Cher Cheeva Thai Dessert Cafe. Instead, you can just take public transportation such as the MRT or the BTS and just walk for a few minutes to get to this cafe.

Khao Pee Nong

There are also some dessert sets here that you can take home as souvenirs for your family and friends since they are decoratively wrapped and can serve as a great gift. 

Local Tip:
You can easily find this shop if you use Chatuchak Park as your landmark. It’s located across the park and you have to pass through Or To Kor market to find the long lines of locals and tourists buying from this cafe.

Also, try to arrive early if you plan on buying some treats for your loved ones back home as the queues can get long.

Mae Varee

Mae Varee is a dessert shop as much as a fruit shop and it’s definitely a store you need to visit to immerse yourself in Thai culture. Here, they offer some of the most authentic (if not original) mango sticky rice in Bangkok.

You can order their three-pack set which contains three different types of glutinous rice. This can be enjoyed with either some coconut or pandan cream– it’s really up to you but the perfectly sweet mangoes on top are truly the star of the show.

They also sell fresh mangoes if you want something more natural to snack on. The best part about all of this is that it’s right next to Thonglor BTS Station, making it very accessible when your cravings hit!

Local Tip:
While their mango sticky rice will usually come with some coconut cream, one is often not enough. You can order additional coconut cream goodness at just 10 THB per sachet to up your sweet cravings up a notch!

The Lime Cafe in Bangkok is a breath of fresh air among the dessert cafes in the area. While most feature Western or Thai desserts, this one focuses on Korean-inspired ones.

You can order some authentic Korean desserts here such as Bingsu ice cream served with bread pudding. They come in different flavours and you might have a hard time choosing which one to go for.

Some of the best-sellers though are their chocolate bingsu, blueberry bingsu, and mango bingsu. If you can sample all three, then you should definitely do it– although you might get an extreme sugar rush if you happen to finish all these flavours!

Local Tip:
 If you want something lighter, then you can order some of their smoothies. They’re not as thick as the Bingsu and they’re definitely refreshing, especially after a long hot day of travelling around Bangkok.
