PlayMondo at CentralWorld lives up to its name of being a small “world” where kids can “play and learn.” It’s best known as the spot in the mall where parents can bring their children below 13 years for playtime and socialisation with other kids.

Four play areas with a natural landscape theme comprise this indoor playground. The staff here are amiable and attentive, making it a place where many people return.

We’re both surprised and delighted that PlayMondo offers birthday party packages. Its sister establishment Playsquare Laser Tag also provides the same (albeit for cheaper pricing, which we can discuss at another time).

Birthdays at PlayMondo last for three hours and come in three packages, from a small 10-person party to a large 40-person one, which goes from THB 1,550 to 1,300 per kid. The amount per head lessens as the party gets bigger and could also be 20% off if you’re a PlayMondo member.

From what we’ve seen regarding Playmondo’s popularity, we recommend booking in advance, as early as 18 months or seven days before your event date.

We love that the birthday party packages at PlayMondo have cake, food, drinks, balloons, decor, invitations, and standby staff for assistance. For an extra fee, you can also avail of party add-ons like a piñata, face painting, and magic show.

A few things to consider: This PlayMondo branch isn’t as big as its competing indoor playgrounds. If you or your kid need a bathroom break, the nearest comfort room is outside the premises.

If you’re looking for a private venue for your kids’ party in Bangkok, Playville might be the one to choose. It’s an indoor playground that can be closed off for parties on the second floor of a commercial centre in Watthana.

We recommend searching for a different venue for those planning a party for older kids, as PlayVille caters to children 1-4 years of age.

We didn’t expect to see a spacious, well-lit, and modern-looking indoor playground—Playville’s look and ambience are a breath of fresh air for us. But, undeniably, it appears better in person than on camera!

Party packages offered here last for two hours, and payment already includes the basics: the entrance fee, access to the play zone, food, and party decor. 

You can choose between weekday and weekday packages for 20 to 40 people. 

A 1st birthday party with 20 people can cost around THB 15,000 to 20,000 (about THB 750 to 1,000 per head), while an average birthday party for 40 parents and kids can set you back THB 21,000 to 27,000 (around THB 500 to 675 per head). We think these are fair enough prices.

However, we’re concerned about a couple of things with regarding safety.

Accidents seem more likely to happen here because of the shallow ball pit, some inattentive staff, and the policy requiring wearing socks on the premises. In addition, some of our adult respondents shared instances of being injured here due to slips and falls.

We hope these are only isolated incidents and that Playville is already improving its customers’ safety.

Another indoor playground to grace our list of the top birthday party venues in Bangkok is HarborLand Fashion Island branch in Khan Na Yao. It’s a play place that allows for children up to 13 years old.

Its main selling point is its outstanding collection of European equipment. It also has an excellent variety of play zones for younger and older children. 

Our respondents agree that the Fashion Island branch is the best of all HarborLand facilities in Bangkok. However, we’d like it better if HarborLand could up the ante on maintenance, especially for toys played with by younger children.

We could consider its party packages to be in the median amounts. For example, it has a 2-hour play party, food, drinks, and a birthday cake for the celebrant can cost around THB 13,000 for ten kids and about THB 23,000 for 20.

Its sister facility, Laser Battle Fashion Island, also offers a similar birthday package. Still, for younger kids, we’d prefer to stick with HarborLand.

However, suppose you’d like to have a grander private party in HarborLand for 60 to 90 people. In that case, you’d need to move on to HarborLand’s other branches in Gateway Bangsue, Gateway Ekkamai, and Sindhorn Midtown Hotel.

The very aptly named Mari go round is an excellent choice for a kids’ birthday party in Bangkok if you’re planning one for your child below six. You should consider this place if budget is not an issue.

We love that Mari go round is spacious enough for the kids; its streamlined, minimalist, pastel interiors are the brainchild of a talented interior designer. The Korean aesthetic matches fairytale or princess-themed parties.

However, some customers feel that the interiors need updating, as the normal wear and tear of child’s play seemed to have taken its toll on the quality of the place.

Nevertheless, for us, Mari go round is a great contender for your next party venue for its food and the play space with a giant slide and ball pit. Our parent respondents love the variety of the food it has, including pasta and coffee, and the joy the playground brings to their children.

Mari go round’s design team offers a comprehensive private party service. You can have everything from the invitations to the decor customised to you and your child’s dream.

Be prepared to spend a bit more than average, although the cafe premises might be a bit small to fit both young and adult guests at your party.

Little Pea Kids Commons is perhaps one of the most unique kids’ birthday party venues we’ve heard of. It’s a kids’ activity camp right in the heart of Bangkok.

Little Pea’s speciality services include activities like dance and cooking classes, to name a few. We love the idea of parents dropping off their children to gain experiences independent from mom and dad’s care for a little while. 

Many of our parent respondents are at ease with letting their children go to Little Pea due to the excellent facilities and caring staff. In addition, Farang parents don’t need to worry since the team speaks English fluently.

We liked that it offers birthday party packages as well.

A typical birthday party at Little Pea lasts about two and a half hours and can be on the Basic or Premium tier. A Basic party costs THB 750 per head and has theme decor, e-invites, and a crafts station for activity but lacks food; the Premium tier costs THB 1,100 and includes food.

Little Pea also has add-ons you can avail yourself like a magic show, face painting, photo booth, custom cake, etc., for extra fees. If you’re a Little Pea member, there is also a 10% discount on the party fees.

Finally, the 40% non-refundable deposit requirement is fair to our standards. Still, we’re not a big fan of the THB 5,000 corkage fee for outside food.
